Behaviour and relationship management
Getting the relationships right.
There is a complex relationship in class between students and teachers that has a foundation of respect, trust and knowing each other. How teachers build this, is critical to effective learning.
As teachers it is important to have a selection of strategies and ways of working that enable the quick development of a learning relationship with students and establishes a positive learning environment.
There are strategies that work and then there are those that don't. Developing these skills as a teacher is absolutely critical for a safe and happy classroom. Ember has significant experience in this area and can help train and support teachers develop their classroom management skills.
Much of this is built on restorative justice and relational practice models.
